Lagawe, Ifugao – Bannering the theme “Sa Bagong Pilipinas, Ang Gusto ng Pulis, Ligtas Ka!”, the Ifugao Police Provincial Office (IPPO) led by PCOL Jeremias G. Oyawon, Provincial Director conducted the Banana and Herbal Planting and Painting Contest on October 12, 2025 at the IPPO Grounds, Camp Col. Joaquin P. Dunuan, Poblacion North, Lagawe, Ifugao. The activity aimed to promote environmental awareness and community engagement.

In partnership with the Officers’ Ladies Club Foundation Inc. (OLCFI)—Ifugao Chapter, headed by Ms. Rosemaritez A. Oyawon, the event featured a Banana and Herbal Planting activity, a Painting Contest, and a Search for the Best Performing Municipal Police Stations (MPS).

The activity was attended by the IPPO Command Group, Provincial Staff members, Force Commanders of the 1st and 2nd IPMFC, Chiefs of Police from various Municipal Police Stations (MPS), as well as members of the OLCFI-Ifugao Chapter and selected personnel from the IPPO-PHQ, IPMFCs, and MPS. Civilian participants also joined in the spirit of creativity for the Painting Contest.

The Painting Contest concluded with Mr. Marco D. Ananayo from Hingyon emerging as the winner. Meanwhile, the Hingyon MPS was recognized as the Best Performing Municipal Police Station, with Kiangan MPS and Lamut MPS securing second and third place, respectively.

This event, while fostering collaboration between the police and the community, also underscored the importance of environmental stewardship and artistic expression as part of the police force’s broader community outreach and public relations initiatives.
