๐๐๐ฒ ๐๐, ๐๐๐๐ || The Department of Social Welfare and Development-CAR KALAHI-CIDDS, led by Regional Director Maria C. Aplaten, handed over the community-identified Multi-Purpose Building at the MLGU Compound, Hingyon, Ifugao. Representing Regional Director Aplaten were Mr. Joey B. Paggui, DSWD CAR Ifugao Field Office Staff, and Ms. Rushell Ronda, the DSWD CAR KALAHI-CIDDS Area Coordinator for Hingyon.
DSWD through the KALAHI-CIDSS program, led by then Regional Director Leo Quintilla funded the project and provided technical assistance during the project implementation. MLGU Hingyon and the previous BLGU Officials identified the project through the Community-Driven Development (CDD) process. The lead barangay for this CDD project implementation is Barangay Northern Cababuyan. The project commenced under Hon. Herman Bumilac’s leadership and was completed under the supervision of Hon. Joel Tuguinay.
The inauguration and turnover ceremony began with a blessing of the facility officiated by Rev. Fr. Emilio L. Adawe, the parish priest of St. Paul the Apostle Parish, Piwong, Hingyon. The ceremonial signing of the certificate of completion and acceptance, financial reporting, and sharing of experiences by the volunteers followed.
The community volunteers expressed their gratitude for the support provided by the DSWD through its KALAHI-CIDSS program and pledged to maintain its functionality. The symbolic key of responsibility for the operation and maintenance was handed over to the Fruitful Farmerโs Organization, headed by Mrs. Milagros Dulnuan and represented by Mrs. Julie Banawol.
In his closing remarks, Hon. Florencio B. Nalula expressed gratitude for the collective and collaborative efforts of the DSWD-CAR KALAHI-CIDSS, DSWD-CAR Ifugao Field Office, the Barangay officials of the 12 barangays of Hingyon, MEO Hingyon, Hingyon PNP and BFP, MSWDO Hingyon, Magnus Construction and Barangay Northern Cababuyan volunteers.

He further affirmed the LGUโs commitment to support the programs of KALAHI-CIDSS. Mayor Nalula ended his message by earnestly soliciting the support of the DSWD-CAR KALAHI-CIDSS to fund the completion of the building.
