January 12, 2024 was a momentous day at the Municipal Gymnasium in Culob, Hingyon as the Bureau of Fire Protection Officer-in-Charge Regional Director, FSSUPT ROBERT M. PACIS, presided over the blessing and turnover ceremony of Hingyon’s new fire truck. The 1000 gallons capacity fire truck boasts a comprehensive array of firefighting equipment, including the complete set of Fire Fighter’s Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA), generating nozzle with alcohol-resistant – aqueous Film Forming Foam (AFFF), and various other firefighting tools and accessories meticulously designed according to the country’s fire service standards.
In his message, FSSUPT Pacis highlighted that the acquisition of the new fire truck aligns with the bureau’s vision for modernization, a crucial step towards fostering a fire-safe community.
The blessing ceremony was solemnized by Fr. Emil Adawe and attended by distinguished guests from the BFP CAR Regional Office and BFP Provincial Office led by FSUPT Katherine B. Albino. Representatives from other Municipal Fire Stations were also present to witness the momentous occasion. Joining the program were members of the PNP Hingyon MPS, under the leadership of Acting Chief of Police, PCPT Robles A. Panitew, as well as LGOO II Clifford Pataueg, representing DILG-Ifugao Provincial Director Rufina T. Fegcan and Hingyon Public School District Supervisor Vicente Buyuccan. The MLGU Hingyon officials and employees, headed by Hon. Florencio B. Nalula, were actively involved, alongside members of the Municipal Legislative Body led by Municipal Vice Mayor Allan K. Pegew.
