On February 5, 2025, the groundbreaking ceremony for the Community Police Assistance Center (COMPAC) in Sitio Wanti, Upper Pitawan, O-ong, Hingyon, Ifugao, officially took place.
The event was attended by Ifugao Police Provincial Office Director PCOL Jeremias G. Oyawon, who represented Regional Director PBGEN David K. Peredo, the Guest of Honor and Speaker. Also in attendance were PCOL David Mariano (Ret.), who represented Provincial Governor Hon. Jerry U. Dalipog; Municipal Mayor Hon. Florencio B. Nalula; Hingyon MPS OIC PMAJ Romualdo I. Gano; Vice Mayor Allan K. Pegew; the Honorable Members of the Sangguniang Bayan. Officers and personnel from the Police Regional Office, Police Provincial Office, and Hingyon MPS were also present, along with the LGU department heads, personnel from the BFP Hingyon Fire Station led by SFO4 Jose G. Dulnuan Jr., barangay officials from Pitawan led by Hon. Jose U. Daniels, Fr. Pablo Lumiwan, who officiated the blessing of the Time Capsule and construction equipment, other guests and visitors.
In his message, which was delivered by PCOL Oyawon, PBGEN Peredo expressed his appreciation for the collaborative efforts that brought this project to reality. He highlighted that the COMPAC “𝘪𝘴 𝘢 𝘷𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘭 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘤𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘱𝘶𝘣𝘭𝘪𝘤 𝘴𝘢𝘧𝘦𝘵𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘱 𝘮𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘥𝘦𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘦𝘴. Municipal Mayor Hon. Nalula, in his address, described the COMPAC as more than just an asset – it is an investment to public safety. He credited the unwavering support of the LGU Hingyon and the Philippine National Police for making this possible. He also took this opportunity to express his gratitude to all those who turned this aspiration into reality.
The groundbreaking of the COMPAC is the culmination of continuous efforts and follow-ups to secure the necessary approvals and resources for its establishment. Once completed, the center will serve as an essential hub for rapid response in emergency situations, providing a swift and efficient solution to the safety needs of the community. #
