The Mdrrmo Hingyon, in collaboration with the Bfp Car Hingyon FS and the Philippine Red Cross – Ifugao Chapter, successfully organized a 5-day Emergency Responders Training from January 27 to 31, 2025. The sessions were held at the Fire Station in Akilli, Piwong, and at the Municipal Gymnasium. The training was attended by a diverse group of participants, including LGU personnel, barangay officials, immersion students, Southern Hingyon National High School students and community volunteers.
This initiative was designed to provide participants with knowledge and practical skills on various types of rescue operations, first aid, ropemanship and basic life support techniques, among others. The training also emphasized the importance of teamwork, communication, and decision-making in emergency situations.
Beyond skill-building, the program aimed to strengthen community resilience by empowering participants to become effective emergency responders in the community.
In his closing message, Hon. Florencio Nalula extended his gratitude and appreciation to all the trainers and the participants for their active engagement and commitment throughout the training. He also encouraged the participants to further enhance their capabilities by joining the Mountain Search and Rescue Training (MOSAR), which will be conducted later. #
