The Department of Health – Cordillera Administrative Region (DOH-CAR), in partnership with the Zuellig Family Foundation (ZFF), is currently conducting Module 2 of the Bayang Malusog: Municipal Leadership Development Program for Municipal Health Teams. The course aims to equip Municipal Leaders and Health Teams with the skills to effectively address their community’s health needs and challenges for the acceleration of Universal Health Care (UHC). The two-day activity (June 15 – 16, 2024) is ongoing at the Rusty Nail Inn and Cafe, Sagada Mountain Province.

Hon. Florencio B. Nalula, our Local Chief Executive, led the MLGU Hingyon’s Bridging Leaders team. The team includes SB Chairman for the Committee on Health, Hon. Anthony Dumangeng, Municipal Health Officer Dr. Jerameel Bahni, and Finance Committee Representative Mrs. Joyce Ballangto. The team completed Module 1 of the course on August 29-30, 2023, in Baguio City.
