Hingyon Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office received Two Plaques of Recognition from the DSWD CAR during their 73rd Anniversary Celebration at the Newtown Plaza Hotel, Baguio City on February 23, 2024. Hingyon Municipal Mayor Hon. Florencio B. Nalula and MLGU Hingyon SWO IV Mrs. Conchita Nahigan received the plaques of Recognition for DSWD Paglaray Awards for Most Comprehensive Report and Good Practices Award both for Municipal Level.
The Paglaray Most Comprehensive Report recognizes the exemplary performance in the SWD Laws monitoring for CY 2022, particularly on the preparation of the comprehensive report covering the LGU performance in monitoring and implementing SWD Laws at the local level following the reporting guidelines. The Paglaray Awards for Good Practices Award are for the exemplary performance in the SWD Laws monitoring for CY 2022 exemplifying efficient and effective mechanisms in ensuring the quality and responsive delivery of SWD programs and service through the implementation of SWD laws at the local level.
In an interview with Mayor Nalula, he expressed his gratitude to DSWD CAR headed by Enrique H. Gascon, Jr., Director III, Concurrent OIC Regional Director and Assistant RD for Operations, for recognizing the efforts and hard work of Social welfare and development workers in the region and to their partner agencies assisting DSWD in the implementation of their programs. Mayor Nalula further added ” the awards will surely motivate our local social services workers to continue their exemplary performance”.
Meanwhile, in a separate interview with Mrs. Conchita Nahigan said, “I am happy that DSWD is recognizing the efforts of social welfare and development workers and that we are being rewarded”. She adds, “Our job is enormous and we work beyond office hours, yet we have to do documentation and comprehensive reports as well which will be sent to the provincial, regional, and national offices to serve as evaluation and planning basis for the services rendered. Lastly, Mrs. Nahigan expressed her gratitude to her staff, to Mayor Nalula and the rest of the Hingyon MLGU officials, Heads of Office and their employees, and their partners in the community for their cooperation and help in the performance of their duties.
