September 20, 2024: Today, Hingyon etches in its history the inauguration of its Fire Station at Akili, Piwong, Hingyon, Ifugao.
The Ceremony included the blessing of the station officiated by Rev. Fr. Emilio Adawe, the parish priest of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Mission Church, Hingyon. A ribbon-cutting was led by BFP CAR Assistant Regional Director for Operations FSSUPT FLOYD T TOYOKAN and Hingyon Mayor Hon. Florencio B. Nalula.
A program followed with BFP CAR Regional Director FSSUPT ROBERT M PACIS as the Guest of Honor. He was represented by ARD FSSUPT FLOYD T TOYOKAN. In his message, FSSUPT Toyokan emphasized that the Fire Station is a result of collaboration and partnership, aiming to provide efficient protective services to the people of Hingyon. He added that this development positions BFP Hingyon to effectively address any challenges and ensure the safety and readiness of the community.
In his part in the program to give his message, Mayor Nalula expressed gratitude to the BFP headed by BFP Fire Chief LOUIE S PURACAN, local officials, and the community for their support in establishing Hingyons’ Fire Station. Mayor Nalula stressed the importance of unity and communal responsibility in maintaining the station’s operations and ensuring its sustainability.
The Fire station is a significant achievement for Hingyon, as it fulfills the long-time dream of having its proper Fire Station, thus providing accessible and efficient fire services to the municipality and nearby areas. The Hingyon Fire Station is under the supervision of Ifugao Provincial Fire Marshal FSUPT KATHERINE B ALBINO and Acting Municipal Fire Marshal SFO4 JOSE G DULNUAN JR.
