Bannering the theme “Legislation Makes More Sense When it is Put into Action and Felt by the People,” the Municipality of Hingyon, through the offices of the Vice Mayor and the Sangguniang Bayan, celebrated Municipal Legislators’ Day 2024 at the Municipal Gymnasium on October 30, 2024.

This annual event serves to recognize the vital roles and contributions of local legislators as partners in community development, as outlined in Municipal Ordinance No. 05, Series of 2017.

In his remarks, Hon. Florencio Nalula, represented by Municipal Administrator Mr. Ernesto Bulayo, commended his legislative colleagues for spearheading the activity and expressed his gratitude to them for enacting ordinances that support programs aligned with the mission and vision they all established for Hingyon.

The guest speaker, Ms. Nora Dinamling, delivered a message on the essence of effective legislation. She underscored that good legislation emerges from legislators who collaborate and support one another, and who support necessary programs. Ms. Dinamling also emphasized the importance of perseverance in enhancing the quality of life and highlighted the core values of humility, integrity, and principled action in the performance of duty. She also encouraged the members of the Sangguniang Kabataan to “𝘢𝘴𝘱𝘪𝘳𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘬 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘥, 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘥”.

One of the event’s highlights was the awarding of Certificates of Recognition to three-term legislators. The cash incentive, as announced by SB Secretary Mr. James Banawol, will follow. The ten (10) three-term legislators were:
